August Writing Prompts

Though August can be hot and sultry inspiring lazy days in hammocks, it is also harvest season. An ancient festival of first fruits is celebrated early in the month. All around us berries are ripening on bushes and vines, fields are beginning to overflow with zucchini and melons and various crops are coming to fruition. Ahhh…fickle April! One minute the sun is coaxing tulips to unfold their petals in whirls of brilliant color, and the next minute you’re dashing for cover from a sudden downpour.
